Philosophy of Nursing Assignment

Q Instructions for the Assignment As you begin your journey to becoming a professional nurse, it is important to identify your personal philosophy of nursing. A personal philosophy of nursing. Philosophy is the study of the fundamental nature of things including what is reality, knowledge, science, ethics, religious concepts, and beauty (Hood, 2018). Philosophies of nursing address nursing as a scientific discipline, the meaning of nursing practice, and the role of nursing in society. In the table above, there are 3 different areas to be reflected in a personal philosophy of nursing: Key concepts of professional nursing, Nursing as a Scientific Discipline, and Valuation Elements of Nursing. As a new nursing student, I am thrilled to identify my nursing philosophy to identify my views and beliefs closely. My first belief about the concept of professional nursing ties directly to a person’s potential and capabilities. I believe a person can do anything they think or dream of. The caveat is that one key element must be ingrained in the individual to achieve his/her goals. This element is determination. Whether someone is unfamiliar with a specific subject, is unfamiliar with a particular test-taking style, has social or physical limitations, determination is what ultimately gets the job done.
